The Health Law Section is again sponsoring a student writing competition in memory of former section leader Barry Gold. Entries must discuss a health law issue under New York State law or a health law issue under federal law and its impact on New York State law or the regulatory environment in New York. The deadline for entries is June 2, 2008, with the winner to be recognized at the Health Law Section annual meeting January 30, 2009.
To be eligible for consideration, the author must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school in New York or a contiguous state (CT, MA, NJ or PA). The competition is open to both full and part-time JD candidates.
First prize is $1,000; second prize is $500.
