I know many teams are beginning their tournaments this week. Good luck to each of you. Looking forward to seeing the six best and brightest teams here in Albany at the NYS Finals in May! Happy Mock Trialing!

Mock Trial Summer Institute applications are available!

Mock Trial Summer Institute (MTSI) is a week long intensive educational and recreational camp for students in high school to hone and practice their mock trial skills while learning more about themselves and their abilities in a supportive fun environment.

MTSI takes place at the YMCA Silver Bay campus in upstate New York along the shores of the beautiful Lake George. July 15th through the 20th 48 Mock Trialites from around the state will be learning and practicing everything there is to know about Mock Trial under the guidance of experienced Mock Trial coaches and instructors.

Recreational activities stress team work and cooperation, as well as building self confidence and leadership skills.

The fee is $250.00* which covers room and board, materials and activity fees. Lodging is dorm style in a rustic camp setting, with two or three students to a room with shared bathroom facilities. A nurse is on call the entire week and staff and counselors are available around the clock.

Please join us at the NYSCSS Conference from March 17-19, 2011 in Rochester, NY. Mock Trial 101 will be the session I'll be presenting and will be presented on Thursday, March 17th from 10:45-11:45 in the Highland Room F. An overview of the Mock Trial program as well as a nuts and bolts primer will be presented.
