Effective January 1, 2010, Hon. John A. Michalek has become the Presiding Justice for the 8th Judicial District Commercial Division, succeeding Hon. John M. Curran who served from 2007 - 2009. Justice Michalek will receive all new and incoming Commercial Division cases on a going-forward basis. Justice Curran will retain existing Commercial Division cases that had been filed in 2007 or before, for a period of one year, after which, to the extent still pending, they will be transferred to Justice Michalek on January 1, 2011.
